What We Do

Dental Hygienists are licensed clinical specialists who work in general oral health practices helping the young and the old to maintain their smiles for a lifetime.  Dental Hygienists can also work as educators, researchers, administrators, managers, preventive program developers, consumer advocates, sales and marketing managers and consultants.

The Mission of the VDHA is to improve the public's total health and advance the art and science of dental hygiene.
