What a great time Michelle Stephenson, RDH and Amy Rankin, RDH had at South Morrison Elementary School during Children's Dental Health Month! We educated all of the first through third grade classes (about 16 different groups of students) in proper dental hygiene. Grades one through six also received dental exams by the volunteer dentists.
Thank you Dr. Bernhard for including us in this event!

As some of you may know the snow took its toll on the screening and education program. We had only three schools to participate two canceled due to snow. However, what we had was great! good tee shirts this year!
South Morrison Elementary Dr. Randy Owen, Dr. Meredith Parks, Dr. George Jacobs did exams on 164 children Amy Rankin RDH and Michelle Stephenson RDH did education sessions for 300 kids in 15 classrooms. Dr. Bill Parks provided toothbrushes for those kids who did not participate in the screening but did particpate in the education program.. Thanks so much folks. 27% of the kids needed care
Dr. Gerald Freeman provided screenings to 40 kids at Langley elementary and Kristie Chester DA conducted classroom education for about 100 children 28% needed care. Dr. Freemans daughter teaches there so he got to talk to her class himself! great job
Dr. Russell Pape and his assistant screened children at Merrimack elementary. They had the help of Ms.. Carolyn Moore RDH who did the education portion. 65 kids were seen and 22% needed care. They had the best breakfast and lunch compliments of Ms. Hicks-White pupil services. Appreciate your help!
Happily our other two school rescheduled for February 26, 2010. Carver Elementary has asked us to screen Kindergarten and first grade. And Bryan Elementary has about 200 children to be screend on Feb 26,2010.
We need to ask for help again. Let me know if you can help. I need at least 2 dentists and assistants per site and at least a hygienist and and assistant per site to help with education.
Help us make this make-up GKAS another great success email me at eabernhard@aol.com
