We are pleased to announce PDHA's 2014-2015 calendar of events of networking, community service, and professional development.
Our professional association is alive and well as led by President Julie Martin and her team of officers and committee personnel. The elected position of President-Elect along with a couple appointd Committee positions remain available to the licensed RDH holding active membership and are looking for the opportunity to give back to their profession. Please visit our "Forms/Doc" page to view the scope of volunteer opportunities available with each elected and appointed positions. Please come to the September meeting to enjoy networking, CE and having all your questions answered by those currently serving PDHA.
We need your immediate participation! The VDHA lobbyist, Ralston King, has requested a signature campaign for dentists in support of removing the patient’s age restriction for licensed dental hygienists' administering local anesthesia in Virginia.
Contact PDHA to provide you with a templated letter or link to the templated letter with a clear explanation On THIS call to action.
Your action is critical to protecting the public, the profession we treasure and the scope of practice we must have to enable the public’s direct access to our care.
If we remain silent, others will speak for Dental Hygiene. Please don’t let that happen to our profession.
The Virginia Oral Health Coalition (VaOHC) seeks medical and dental providers to join a Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) to guide our efforts to integrate oral health services, education and referrals into every applicable health care setting. Specifically, members of the CAB will weigh in on practice integration guidelines, referral protocols and strategies to support integration as it relates to their clinical specialty. Members of the CAB will also have the opportunity to share their expertise in continuing professional development and speaking engagements, as their time allows. Please click here for additional information. For questions, please contact VaOHC's executive director Sarah Holland.
Deadline for application is September 19, 2014
