Jan 2015 PDHA Trustee Report
The VDHA CURET: Meet your newly elected Leadership Team of the Virginia Dental Hygienists' Association and enjoy reading about statewide activities of your professional peers as published in state newsletter, CURET.
RSVP Today! It will be another GREAT year, as it has been so well planned by VDHA Legislation Chair, Heather Herrera, that the Capitol will be rocking by the crowd of almost 200 RDHs and students that have oral health fact kits of goodies to deliver to all the legislators along with messaging our key talking points of advocacy! PDHA has 6 delegates and 3 senators to visit, stand for introductions to occur in the Chambers of House and Senate, enjoy an inspiring Capital tour, be captured in the group photo to most likely be published in ADHA's ACCESS future publication and earn 1 continuing education credit. All this for FREE!!!!!
If we don't speak for ourselves, who shall be the VOICE for Dental Hygiene? We Need YOU!
As members of PDHA join almost 200 colleagues and student dental hygienists at the annual, VDHA Rally Day on Jan. 30th, they will be advocating for the 45,000 pregnant women, eligible for Medicaid and FAMIS health care. These are some of the talking points our Advocates will be discussing when meeting with the 140 legislators at the Capitol. Please take time to reenforce the message by writing to your Delegate and Senator, as our United Voice can make a positive difference for those in need.
Simply Google: "Who's my Legislator in VA" to easily access the contact information of your two representatives. Your Voice is valuable to helping improve the total health of all Virginians.
Our day will begin with bus pick up at Super Kmart (ferly) shopping center on Victory Blvd. across from Kiln Creek at 6:30 am and return by 3pm.
Join PDHA by e-mailing Marge Green with your RSVP.
